First Steps with HLBot
This guide will walk you through the process of installing, setting up, and running HLBot.

To download and use HLBot, you need an active license.
To purchase the bot, go to https://hlbot.net/purchase.
After buying tokens, go to https://hlbot.net/license to activate your license.

This tab is visible only for people with an active license.
Here you will find links to download the latest version of the bot.
⚠️The HLBot launcher works ONLY on Windows 10/11
- The first option downloads a patcher that will fetch the latest files
- The second option downloads the bot packed in a .zip file
Before downloading the package, disable your antivirus and browser file scanning.
The files do not contain a virus, but they are protected with encryption tools, which makes antiviruses falsely flag them as viruses.
- If you downloaded HLBot.exe (archive)
- If you downloaded Patcher.exe (patcher)
After downloading the HLBot.zip package, extract it anywhere on your computer.
Then run the HLBot.exe file and wait a moment while the required files are downloaded.
The launcher will change its name to a randomly generated one.
We recommend creating a separate folder for bot files to easily manage the installation and avoid conflicts with game files.
Now just choose the language you want to use the bot in and log in with your details.

- Button to choose the launcher and in-game bot language
After downloading Patcher.exe, move it anywhere on your computer (preferably create a new folder).
Then run Patcher.exe, and in the window that appears type Y and press ENTER.
The app will download all required bot files into the folder where it is located.

Now just choose the language you want to use the bot in and log in with your details.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter problems during installation or running HLBot, try:
- Running the app as administrator
- Temporarily disabling firewall and antivirus
- Checking if you have the latest version of the bot
- Verifying that your license is active
